I want to ask you, Dad: When w as the last time your children saw you on your knees, seeking direction fr om God? That's and unmistakable lesson to a child. To be a spiritual man yo u must take time to talk to Him and to listen to him through His Word. The regularity of this meeting, not its length, is the important thing. When you're running late, pause long enough to get on your knees and tell the L ORD, "I am committing this day to you. Late as I am, I am not leaving thi s house without getting on my knees before You." God will reward that commi tment.
Your attitude of mind covers your home. When your attention i s focused on the Truth, you are exercising the mind of Christ. When I thin k as Christ thinks, I am loving my wife and children more faithfully; I a m more sensitive to the needs of those around me.
