Jesus went o n to say, "There are other sheep which belong to me that are not in this s heep pen. I must bring them, too; they will listen to my voice and they w ill become one flock with one shepherd. The Father loves me because I am wi lling to give up my life.... that I may receive it back again. No one takes my life away from me. I give it up of my own free will... Who are the "other sheep" who listen to the shepherd's voice? Besides list ening to it in Scripture, where else might they listen for it?
