The great Am erican concert violinist, Fritz Kreisler, said: "I was born with music in my system. It was a gift from God. I didn't acquire it. So I do not even d eserve thanks for the music. Music is too sacred to be sold, and the outra geous prices charged by musical celebrities today are truly a crime against society. I never look upon the money as my own. It is public money. It is only a fund entrusted to me for proper disbursement... In all these years o f my so-called success in music, mu wife and I have not built a hou se for ourselves.
