Saint Augustine was walking along a beach. He was l ost in meditation on the central mystery of Christianity, the Holy Trinity: "How could God be three and one at the same time?" Disillusioned by life with good reason to frown,
I thought the w orld was intent on dragging me down.

A young boy out of breath approached me, all tir ed from play,

Wanting him to take h is dead flower and go off to play,
I faked a small smile and then shift ed away.
