He formed the Squires as a fai thful group of young Catholic men between the ages of 12 and 18.
App roximately 26,000 Squires belong to more than 1,000 Circles international ly. The Squires are active throughout the United States, Canada, the Phil ippines, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Cesar Chavez has been called a "modern-day Moses" for migrant workers. He brought unit to their ranks in Florida and helped them achieve their first labor contract. It brought justice to the poorest of the poor. He died on this date in 1993 and was carried to his rest by ov er 35,000 marchers amid dancing and mariachi music. Sons, grandsons, and celebrities rotated as pall bearers carrying the plain white pine coffin t hat was built by his brother. Singer Pearl Bailey died in 1990. Her heart was a big as her body. Her spirit truly shined when an Amtrak train with 400 passengers on board jumped the track in Mansfield, Ohio, slamming into an embankment. A mid the wreckage and confusion, a familiar voice rang out calmly, "This i s Pearl, honey! Don't worry! Everything's going to be all right!"

Ages ago a flock of a th ousand quails lived together in a forest in India. They would have been hap py, but they were in great dread of their enemy, the quail hunter. He wou ld tick them by mocking their call and then capturing them with a great net .
The wise quail said, "Brothers! When the fowler throws his net over us. let each one put his head through a mesh in the net and then all will lift it up together and fly away with it!" The next day, the fowl er threw his net, and the birds escaped as they had planned. This continue d for many days, and the fowler's wife grew angry.
