FRATERNITY is setting an example for your fellow workers

St. Isidore is the patron saint of farmers and rural communities. Isidore was born in Madrid; as a young b oy, he went to work for a wealthy landowner. He would labor there for the rest of his life. He was a model worker and a very devout Christian. Every day he rose early in the morning to attend Mass - sometimes, according to fellow workers, showing up late for work because he spent too much time in prayer. Isidore would pray while plowing in the fields, and it's even sai d that angels would sometimes help him with his work. 

Many of us desire to build a successful career, changing jobs when better opportu nities arise and perhaps even becoming our own bosses. God's grace can be e xperienced in such a lifestyle, but this measure of success is not require d for holiness. St. Isidore had no  need to bec...
