| Description | "Christ Jesus... gave himself to redeem all mankind." ~ 1 Timothy 2:5-6 This month, back in 1865, the slain body of Presid ent Lincoln lay in state in Cleveland, Ohio. It was on its way from Washin gton, DC to Springfield, Illinois, where it would be buried. In the long line of people filing past the body was a poor black woman and her little son. When they reached the president's body, the woman lifted up her son a nd said in a hushed voice, "Honey, take a long, long look. That man died for you." What that mother said about Lincoln, every mother could say to her child about Jesus.
