We cannot hold onto the world, we can only hand it to others. It's as if you are a father with yo ur arms wrapped around your young son's shoulders, helping him get the fee l of the bat. Swing and miss. Swing and connect. There is no glory in that moment - only hints of glory as a pattern is established. It may be years b efore your boy can swing for the fence.
