As the Father knows me and I know t he Father, in the same way I know my sheep and they know me." ~ John 1 0:14-15 In ancient England, dinner guest used to entertain other gu ests after meals. At one dinner an actor was present and did a fabulous ren dition of Psalm 23, "The LORD is my Shepherd." Everyone stood and applaude d. Then a guest noticed the aunt of the host dozing in the back of the room . The old woman was deaf and had missed almost all of the entertainment. Th e guest shouted, "Auntie, come up and do something." Everyone applauded.< br> She recited the same psalm. When she finished, there wasn't a dry e ye in the room. Later, the guest asked the actor, "Your rendition was fab ulous. So why were we so moved by the aunt?" He replied, "Simple - I know the psalm, but old auntie knows the Shepherd." ~ Mark Link, S.J.
