| Description | "Where two or three come together in my name, I am there wi th them." ~ Matthew 18:20 A religious persecution in 1980 left a region of Guatemala without priests. But the people continued to meet in t heir churches. Once a month they sent delegates to a part of Guatemala wher e priests still functioned. Traveling up to eighteen hours on foot, the delegates put a basket of bread on the altar and celebrated the Eucharist in the name of their parish. After the Mass, they took the brea d home. Now it was the Body of Christ.
